Man I just looked at the comparison list for the month of Oct. WOW Take a look at the comparison from last Oct. to this year. It is REALLY down. & only 2 days to go for this month. Wondering what everyone thinks???

Try running a search in this forum.

There's already been a thread or two and a whole lot of talk about the same thing.

Sounds like there was a noticeable lack of people hunting during the early M/L season this year across the state for whatever reason. I know there was around here.

I think you just can't have a banner year every year. I am doing good to have harvested a doe during the M/L season, considering my hunting spot options.

I heard a total of 5 shots,"during time normally spent on stand" I saw 2 does ond 2 small buck Sat morn. NOTHING the rest of the weekend.My question is: after taking does on basically an unlimited amount, how long will this take to affect overall herd size in a particular zone? Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to the legal harvest in any amount, I just wonder about the long term ?

I feel the same way . I was in my stand early sat morning & only heard 2 or 3 shots all morning. Beings my grandson already took a doe on youth hunt weekend I passed on a doe. The way things look I am glad I did This is in a zone 1 area & I think the count is way down cause of the ehd stuff. Hope all works out for the best.
