Nice buck for sure , How old is he what caliber gun . I have a nine year old , that wants too hunt , but not too sure to let him around a gun  Well I mean to actually shoot one the size you need to drop a whitetail . :D

No brain fart:D I fixed it after I saw your question......Get him used to shooting smaller caliber then move him up...The noise is what usually scares them the most and they think it's gonna smack them...

The .410 will have more kick to it than a .223 will..... I recommend that you take a look at the single shot .223's offered by Rossi.....These guns are good quality, accurate and most importantly made for kids!

You can pick up a single shot Rossi in a .223 & .20 gauge combo relatively cheap add a cheap scope for about 75 bucks and you will have invested in a lifetime of memories no one will ever be able to take from you........

Here is are the locations for dealers in Kentucky......

While you are there pick up a couple of boxes of Winchester Supreme Silvertips in 50gr and take him opening day and see if you cry with excitement when he torches one! ;)

Oh and I almost forgot....Austin my man welcome to the club....I am proud to consider you a brother!
