This is my first post to show off my first deer kill.
I hunted some last year but not very seriously, this year I bought a Bear Archery Truth and I've been out a few times. It all finally worked out Friday night.
I was 18ft in a tree in Harrison Co when a buck walked in, I realized it only had one antler so I didn't want to take it. Right behind it walked this 7 pointer, at 32 yds I drew back and let it fly. I hit it a little back and a little high and it passed right through the spine. It kicked and walked back and dropped ten yards further back. I saw that it was in a group of 3 other bucks who stayed around for about the next 30 minutes eating and walking up to see what was going on with the downed deer. One of them was a nice 8 pointer but I am definitely happy with my deer.
It is my first deer. To add to that, it was with a bow and it was a nice 7 point buck. I never expected anything but a small doe. I am psyched. It will be delicious and it will look good on the wall.
