When you guys first get to your hunting area and get set up, what is your calling sequences. How do you start calling ( duration and volume) and how often do you call and how do you change the sequence when there are no coyotes in sight. If there is anyway to illustrate it, what would your calling sequence sound like?

I start out loud and fast for a minute or two. Then I shut up and act like I'm being quiet to get their curiosity and to see if they are going to come in for a shot. Next I go back a to calling with a little less volume but still fast like I'm trying to hide under something like a log. This usually lasts for a few minutes or more. Don't get caught up in the calling without keeping your eye out. They might pinpoint you and leave before you even know they are there. Then, I start dragging the distress calls out like I'm giving my dying breath. If a coyote isn't educated in this type of calling and he hasn't spotted or smelled you, he will usually come in at this time in a quick gallop. If I have no results, I move to a different place.
