Been pulling for the Sox myself. Really looking forward to the Rockies vs. Boston. We saw the Rockies this summer in early July and had no idea they would be in the World Series. They did bet the Mets when I saw them though. Should be a good one.

I will have to disagree on the Pats though....but we'll settle that one soon enough when they come see the Colts on 11/4!;)

BOSTON FREAKIN RED SOXS!!! Man those last two games were unbelievable. The bottom of the rotation was serious. Look unstoppable.
:eek:LOL, I cant believe theres still non-believers out there. Brady was kicking some tail yesterday.:D I know, I know. It was the winless Dolphins, but man you got to confess that was unreal. 6tds, 5 in the first half. Now thats running up the score. They could have scored 20. But I think tonights game between Indy and Jacksonville will be a good one. Dont be surprise if Jacksonville wins this one. They scored 44 points on Indy last year and split the season series .

Yes it is amazing that Boston beat the Indians. I mean they only spend about double what the Indians do on salary. Thats about a 65 million dollar advantage. Boston should be ashamed that a little podunk midwestern team made them play all 7 games. In regards to Colorado, Isnt Boston outspending them by a factor of 3? If they do not win the series in a sweep, someone in the Boston organization should get fired.
Major League baseball sucks. The disparity in wages between the teams that are supposed to be competing against each other is outragous. Personally I would like to see Colorado stick it to Boston. That would be a series to remember. If Boston wins, who cares. Just another hollow victory for a team that is going to have plenty more in the future.

So when does having the highest paid players have anything to do with winning championships. There are countless examples of teams who spend more than any other teams, and they accomplish nothing. Take the NY Yankees, probaly spend more than five teams combined in the MLB, and yet they barely make it into the playoffs. Making championship teams have more with player chemistry than thier salerys. If you have to spend more to get the right combinations of players to have a winning and successful team, it pays off in the end. Oh and Boston is far from having plenty of hollow victories, how many years did they suffer, come so close to going to the World Series only to fall short.

There are alot of the big spending teams at home watching the World Series!! Having great players certainly help but can not replace chemistry on the team. If great players won teams World Series then the Yankees would walk away with it. I'm for the Rockies because their the underdog but I like several of the Redsox players (Schilling and Drew) so I won't lose any sleep either way.
What's funny is the Yankees are responsible for their hated rivals (Red Sox) dominance by overpaying their own players and making the Red Sox shell out alot of money to be competitive in the A.L East!!! Then they blame Joe Torre!! What a disgraceful organization!!

You guys can't argue with me. Statistically over time Bigger Salarys = More Wins. Just since the strike the Yankees have been in the series 6 times and have won it 4 times. Boston has come close and fallen short you say? Was that because of the "curse of the bambino"? The curse of the bambino is the the Yankees outspending Boston by allmost 80 million a year.
True, we can point to examples where more cash does not mean more wins. And the Yankees are not as good as they could have been. Just because they have cash does not mean they know how to manage it. However if you can afford to cherry pick the absolute best players from the around the world then you are going to get some wins.
I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. I say within the next three years the two biggest salaried teams will meet in the American League playoffs. I say the Yankees will WIN the World Series at least once in the next 5 years. :) <--Someone write this down and keep me honest please. I am not above eating a little humble pie if the time comes! :)

Yeh Yeh, we all love to see Goliath fall. The Yankees may take a while to regroup (new manager, free agents leaving, etc), no matter what the payroll. And that won't break my heart. Witha name like Foam Steak, eatin your words may taste just fine! ;)
Hey KyBull, what was that prediction again? Jax over the COLTS? I don't think so. Pat's(ies) may have some trouble w/ the Skins, seeins how they HAVEN'T PLAYED ANYBODY! All in good fun.......... :D
