Im A Honda man 300 4x4 (honda has anti lock brakes touch one they all grab) thats one of the downfalls to the older polaris not sure about the new ones...also i HATE that reverse polaris has....but im sure the bike will suit your needs they are a power house and great ground clearance something my honda lacks

I have a Polaris 500 Sportsman 4x4, it is a nice bike, you will like yours, the independent suspension is nice also! These bikes have 4 wheel disc brakes, operated by the same lever on the handle bar.
Congrats on the new ride, you will like it!

Yeah, years ago we used to ride ATV's on Ft. Knox by the tank range on US 60, they would have one or two of those areas open, I dont think they have let anyone do that for 12 or so years?? I buried a Honda TRX300 there[:D] took about an hour to get it out

Should have bought a $$$$HONDA$$$$
Polaris does have good ground clearance. +++
Pretty smooth ride on the new ones.

Rather shift gears.

I have a 2002 Polaris 500 Sportsman and my firend has a new Honda 600 (I think it is called a Rencon). My Polaris rides great but Honda has come a long way on their higher end ATV's. Hondas have always been tough bikes and hold up well mechanically. However, the Hondas were very unforgiving on the ride. You will be happy with your Polaris.

Honda are bullet proof. When you hit the trails you will still see a ton of 1990s-1995s older hondas. Where are all the other bikes at that were built in that time? Junk yard!

I have a 5 year old Honda 450es. Perfect condition and starts first little press of the button!

I think I'll put up with my "unforgiving ride" to have the most dependable and trouble free bike on the market. 1995 model, not a lick of trouble.

I will have to agree with the other guys. I am a Honda man thru and thru. I had a Sportsman 500 and sold it quick. Went out and bought a 450S Foreman new in 1999 and would not sell it for any amount of money!
