I think if the hunters buy license and help pay for what happens to the wma's of kentucky, but horseriders can go in and ride for free, what the he%* is up with that. Very Wrong i know that

I think they still qualify as citizens and fit the multiple land use directives.

Be glad that you don't have to put up with the damn horse riders on the private land you hunt on. On the farm I lease and hunt, 1,300 acres in Bullitt County, the land owner allows horse riders to ride logging roads for $5.00 a day. Now he never intended that these folks would attempt to ride during hunting season or in places where they shouldn't be (what was he thinking). During the last weekend of Sept. this year I got pretty rude with a lady who rode her stupid horse right up to my stand. When I hollered she nearly fell of the horse. She was totally shocked that hunting season was in and she was appauled when I told her I liked horses too, just with barbaque sauce and tators! The same lady, during last years spring turkey season rode her horse through a winter wheat field that I had my blind set up in. When I called out to her, she also claimed that she didn't know anyone was hunting there or that hunting season was open. I asked her, if she thought it was strange that the flock of turkey decoys she just rode through didn't run? She replied where, what decoys? "Not the sharpest tool in the shed, now is she?" What is the deal with the horse people anyway? Every one I ever met was kinda odd folks. My thought has always been, If you don't have enough property to ride the horse, you probably don't need one. After all this is the 21st century, John Wayne is gone, the west is won, and most of these folks wouldn't make a pimple on a real cowpoke's posterior. I'm with you smiley, make the SOB pay for the recreation areas just like we do. Darn horses completely destroy terrain worse than anything else. Try to ride an ATV on the WMA's and see if you don't pay? What's the friggin difference?

GUYS Don't mess witht the horse people here in this state. We hunters would LOOSE BIG TIME. When it comes to horse back riding there are some big named players out there that would make us look like a pimple on a horse's rear.

funny, bonecollector. I could easily put myself in your situation, and I would feel the same way. Did you ever see the Seinfeld episode where Jerry is making fun of kids who grew up with ponies, lol. That's what I thought of, and I laughed pretty hard here at home. It's amazing how oblivious some people can be especially those who are supposedly out to enjoy nature.
