How long for jerkey

I cut up two deer roasts into 1/2 strips. I've got them in the fridge with jerkey cure on them. I've got a dehydrator, does anyone have any idea how long I need to leave these strips on? Ater dehydrating , how long before they go bad?

With only that much you'll have no worries because it will not last that long till it's eaten!:p

Depends on your dehydrator really. You just have to keep checking on it after about 5 hrs, and keep your thicker pieces at the bottom.Thats how mine works,seem the bottom trays get done quicker

Yeah I just put the bigger peices on the bottom to start and check it after about 3 hours and rotate the racks around. Usually about 6-8 hours for my dehydrator but thats just mine.

If you cut them in true 1/2" strips, you will be waiting a LONG time on them. I would suggest just using two or three trays.
