Saturday I Had 7 Bucks And 10 Does All Within About 40 Yds From 7:30 To 8:30 Am, Finally Took A 30 Yd Shot On The Biggest Doe. Looked Like A Perfect Shot. Waited 45 Minutes And Then Blood Trailed Her For 2 1/2 Hours (over A Mile) Before Run Out Of Blood. Started Off In Big Patches , Bright Red. Ended Up In 2 Or 3 Drops Every 5 Ft. Looked Until 4:00 Pm , No Sign Of Her,
What Happened?

sounds like a muscle hit, maybe high in the tenderloin right below the spine, or low in the brisket.

Did the arrow pass through? What did the impact sound like? I'm guessing muscle shot. If it looked good, you prolly hit the front shoulder.

the arrow did not pass through, but i figure it must have been stopped by her shoulder on the exit , it was in her good though and she jumped then dropped then got up and took off running.

she probably got with other deer and they started licking her wound which caused it to stop bleeding..but keep looking youll find her

yeah, i nerver heard of that. i didn't find her . when i lost her trail she was on her fourth different piece of property. i'm sure the coyotes have got her by now. she would have filled up my freezer too. try again next weekend

Nope im foreal ive seen em do it and most of the time you wont find the deer because of no more blood.Had it happen twice.True story
