Little Bunny connected on his first deer this morning. He had missed a doe about 1/2 hour earlier and he looked at me and said, "at least I got a shot today". Humble kid to say the least. Then about 1/2 hour later he made a 75 yard shot through the woods on this fine little 5 point. We are going to have it mounted for his room.

When he shot it he looked at me and said I got my first deer and IT'S A BUCK TOO!! We are tickled to death to say the least.:D

I've been in your shoes and I know that this means alot to your son but I bet it means even more to you. When my daughter killed her first buck a couple of years ago I was a total wreck. I had never been so happy and shook up over a deer I had taken myself as I was over hers.....

You both should be proud.....It doesnt get any better than this.

Awsome buck!! What is the model of that gun?

It is a Handy Rifle Superlight223. It is 1 and 1/3 pounds lighter than the normal handy rifle. I will highly recomend Hornady bullets too. It was a ballistic tip bullet we were using and went through both shoulders and the heart.
