anybody having any luck with the horns yet? i rattled in two 1.5 y/o bucks this evening, 4pt and 3pt. had 2 does come running in too!

I haven't tried it yet this season. But sounds like it may be time to break the horns out.

I have some monsters in my area and have never rattled in a buck ever. I have tried it a bunch but I think the bucks in my area here it and say thats a hunter and go the other way . But if it works for you thats great .I just wish it worked here.:mad:

For best results you must rattle in an area that has a higher Buck to doe ratio. For areas that have a higher doe/buck ratio there is no real competition so they bucks dont fight near as much. So they dont respond to the antlers as well.

Muzzy, I've rattlled a bit the last couple days with no positive results. Are you full-on rattlin or just ticklin them a bit?

i was full-on rattling. hit'em hard for about a mintue and followed it with a few grunts. if you think about it, right now is the time they are establishing the pecking order and fighting quite a bit. come the middle of the rut they dont fight near as much and therefore arent as interested in the fighting...they've got there minds set on something else!

i hadnt rattled yet but i had a group of 3 bucks come in yesterday to the can...it was awesome
