I was looking for info on property lines. My neighbors have a driveway that runs the length of my lot. Well they have planted some type of shrubs and trees 6 inches off the line about 3 years ago. The trees don't really bother me because they look nice, but the shrubs are an eyesore because they don't weed eat around them. Now the shrubs are hanging over on my side about a foot[:(!]. Any suggestions

I believe you can prune anything that extends over your property line.

You can trim the shrubs straight up even with your property line. But don't cross over the line or your neighbor could make you pay the cost of replacing them.

Maybe some weed killer, sprinkled on the ground around 5am as you are leaving the house.[:D]

I pruned up my neighbor's right in front of him with the weedeater one day.[:D]
Didn't do the neatest job, looked like hell actually, but I was tired of about being clawed off my lawnmower every time I went down the fence. I was waiting for him to say something to me about it, but he got the hint and the offending shrub was gone not too long after.

My mom has a neighbor that planted unruly shrubs right next to her along the street. She can no longer see the street when backing out of the driveway and has about been hit 3 or 4 times now. Say something to the guy and he'll prune about 6" off of them...[V]. Gonna be a midnight run with the roundup here fairly soon.

Thanks guys for the suggestions, that acid you clean bricks with works real good too. They just planted them back. I figure that this spring I'll give them the option of pruning themselves or letting me do it.
