For the youth weekend this weekend me and my unc was going to take my cousin to get him a deer and take the camper and stay the weekend. So what im going to TRY and do is shoot a doe saturday morning or friday evening to have meat down there to eat.So what i was wanting to know what are some simple but awesome tasting deer recipes that we could fix up after a day of hunting over the fire or on the grill

Take a gallon size Zip Lock bag and place seasoned flour (whatever you guys like in it) then after removing the tenderloins, slice thin, lightly bread in bag (think shake and bake) :)

Remove from bag place in cast iron hot skillet on fire with some good oil, turn only once and enjoy. If you're good at making gravy (white sauce will do) :D make that, some fried 'tators and you're in business (remember to bring a lid for the pan for frying the taters though) .

If you have an old grill the metal "grate" from it works well over some rocks to place the pans on and gets them above the fire somewhat.

Backstraps over the fire are great with only salt and pepper to taste, if you don't bring other stuff with you (or like me forget it from the excitement)

Hope that is of some help.

Just happened to think "over the fire" might be a serious problem with the State Wide burning ban??? Probably best to stick with the grill? (you can still do either one just substitute the grill for the camp fire):)
