I may go out, but my limited expierence in Turkey hunting tell me they don't move much in the nasty weather we are suppose to have. Anyone, else feel this way about it?

I don't claim to be the best fall turkey hunter but I do OK at it. I have as good of luck getting to the area they roost in the evening before they get there and wait them out. Whould work equally well in the morning, just get inbetween their roost and feeding area.

I have found that on a wet and gloomy morning the birds will often gather in a field. If you have access to a field close to where the birds are, I would go there, setup, and wait.

I am going out this weekend to try Turkey hunting for the first time. I had heard that it is very difficult but where I hunt they are use to seeing people. Almost everyday I deer hunt I have jumped Turkey. Hopefully it is not a curse where if you are hunting something else you see them. Oh well it is nice to get in the woods.
