Hey my wife just bought a 7mm-08 in a Thomson Center Encore!!! It is an awesome round, very accurate, flat shooting(almost as good as a .243) not too much recoil, it is probably the most"useable" round around. Why it doesn't get more "press" I'll never figure out!!!!

Before we bought it, I "talked" to a guy (on another hunting forum) who has taken several deer,elk and even moose with it...the funny thing is: the bought one ofr his daughter, after shooting it to zero it in, liked it so much he had to have one for himself!!! BTW the deer were mule deer(average about 300 lbs )....there is another thread( I started) you may want to check out also, where gsp's daughter is shown with a deer she took with the round, (you can see the exit hole......pretty impressive IMHO)[:)]

Get one( I'd like to have one myself....but it's just too hard to give up my 700 ADL 30/06) [:D]
