how'd ya get them to shrink?
i tried and tried and tried and finally gave up on shrinking them
probly shouldn't have gave the one of the bear hanging it'll probly start another round.
I pasted them into, PAINT program, edited them and re-saved them as a jpg.
That is a whopper of a bear. I would like chasing behind dogs sometime, but them I thought about it and realized someone would say, "well, boys, now that we got one, let's drag him out of here, truck is about 2 miles away"![:D][:D][:0]

what kind of dogs do you run?

i run plotts and walker hounds. the other breeds of hounds are also reperesented on the mountain though. i like the plotts and walkers because they start fast, therefore you get more hunting time from them.

Nice pics. just courious, but what caliber weapon do you use when taking down those bear?
Do you mostly corner them or tree them?

depends on the size of the bear, 150lbs-250lb bear will usually tree, anything bigger is usually killed while bayed on the groud.
as for caliber 30-30 will do fine but i use a .45lc i like to get in close and the pistol is best for that.

nice bear.
where was it taken?
i would love to have a chance to take a big bear like that.
hunted them once near robbinsville nc. had a great time but didn't use a tag. learned of the mtn cur there and they are still my passion.
