Neat story, Nice to see the deer go back to the family, but wild animals do belong in the wild. But just how wild is the deer after being raised for over a year by the guy. Not to mention the fact that the guy spent so much money repairing the fawns hooves and looks like a broken right rear leg.

There are reasons for not taking in wild animals. Let mother nature do her job. If this animal died after the injury, it was for a reason. Let this guy get away with it, and everyone will want a pet deer. I say turn the critter loose on a nature preserve and be done with it.
