I'll be out in the heat this afternoon, and all weekend hunting. I have yet to harvest a deer, so I'll go every chance I get.

Same here, the only bad thing for me is I only have 5 more days until I have to go back to Fort Riley and get ready for Afghanistan!

Yes it's gonna be hot, but have you notice, right before the sun goes down it starts cooling down quick. The last hour to hour & half is not bad.

This heat is the reason I haven't been in the woods yet even though we did get a little cool spell earlier. I've been at the edge of a pasture field trying for a bbc out of a blind which I missed a hen yesterday. Even doing this I've been about to melt, I get there by 3-4 and it does cool down later but if I was deer hunting I'm afraid my scent would be all over the place. By the way, I stopped to talk to my brother in law and was dark when I pulled out of his drive. Right in front of his house is a large field that had a least 10 deer in it that I could see when I pulled out. Didn't get a good look at all since I was pulling out and didn't want to be accussed of spotlighting. But i was glad to see them and knowing that some have made it through the EHD cycle. No I'm not trying to get that started up.

Couldn't have said it better myself...
As far as the heat, I'll be at LBL this weekend (all weekend) and while I know it's going to be hot, I'm looking forward to my first bow hunting trip. Once it cools off a little, I have a few places closer to home that I'll start hunting more regularly, but LBL will be my first. Wish me luck, the deer know I'll need it.

I got out when we had some cool weather last week. Had a nice couple of days. This weekend I'll leave them to you all. Feels too much like work to have to break a sweat hustling to keep the meat from spoiling when its 89 degress outside everyday. Probably going to hang it up till the youth weekend. Can't argue with the thermometer.

Lukehunter: Take Care, thanks and God Bless you and your family. Chris.
I've only hunted once, last Saturday, in the 48 degree morning. Saw 5 deer. Didn't want to shoot a doe yet. Still scouting with the cameras. Got too many chores to do. The heat is giving me a good excuse to keep working. Just wait till things cool down and I'll be out there a lot.
