This is the story of my buck and pics that I managed to get on trail cams. I have several minutes of velvet footage of him but can't post it. I had a close call with him Labor Day evening but he showed up a little too late. He moved from his summer bedding/feeding area about 500 yrds to a thick ridge hip that is a couple hundred yrds from a foodplot. He was still running with his buddies when he came to the plot yesterday. A 110" 8pt,then 1/2 rack, a small buck, and then my buck came last. It was almost dark when he finally made it to my shooting lane. I bleated and stopped him and made the shot. A little high but it counted! Thanks given to the Man upstairs for a wonderful day afield!
Gross score 164 6/8 field dressed 196 lbs

Awesome, awesome deer.
No buyer's remorse whatsoever on that deer, except now, as I'm sure you're already aware, his 180 class older brother will almost inevitably show up on a few occasions and stand broadside at about 15 yards just to extract some revenge for killing his younger bro. :D

I see my reputation has got around!! :( When I got to him he was still alive so I shot him again!
For those of you that don't know the story I'm sorry. It would take me a week to type the story! If you look around in the archives you can see the results! BTW, You guys that complain about a liver shot deer, I would take that hit any day!

You would think it would be impossible to get that many shots at the same deer but I can tell you from experience it is not!
