Can anyone on here recommend a deer processor around fort knox? I am gonna be hunting there on the 29th/30th and would like to find a good reputable proccessor before going down.

if you get a deer late, you can call webbs and they wiil open the frezzer for you the after hours number i have is 270-496-4926. that is a good thing with the hot temps

Unless you plan on that 8 hour round trip drive back to Knox I'd suggest bringing coolers and quartering your deer and going with your local processor
There was a fella by the name of Rick Russell thats just a few miles from Knox,but I dont know if he's still in business,maybe some of the locals can comment

I'm not sure if Rick Russell is still processing or not. I've seem some flyers for him posted around hunt control in the past, but have not seen them this year.
Thanks for the info for Webbs after hours. I use them all the time, but never knew that they would open the freezer after hours.

there are three numbers on the door at webbs they are: 270-496-4926, 270-863-1529, 270-945-0806, you should be able to get someone to answer on of these numbers. That is a real good deal for us bow hunters that hunt the evening hunts. I would have lost several night sleep if i had to try to keep the deer cool. They will open up fill all of the paper out for you just like it was normal hours ov opperation. That is one of the many reasons I still go there.

Rick Russell, is nolonger processing deer , there is a guy in Rhineyville that processes deer .. Rhineyville is only about 20 minutes from knox compared
to 35 or more drive to webbs..I can't find the guys name right now in Rhineyville but i'll find his name and Ph# tomorrow night and post another reply here..
