This Friday and weekend I'm looking at hunting Peabody WMA. The area I'm looking into has a good deer trail across the dam between 2 lakes. It looks like a cattle path!!:D The only problem is there are NO trees to use my climber. Most area's of Peabody you can at lewast find 1 tree but not here. I plan on taking my ground blind but haven't deer hunted from it. Does anyone have in suggestions for me to follow. How far of the trail, blending in the blind, do I still need to wear camo, face net,etc... What about buy a piece of camo neting to go over the blind. Or would it be better to use limbs from the surronding trees??
Thanks

I'm going this afternoon to try on a turkey but it is possible for a deer to show up where I'll be also. Was going to use my pop up blind but after trying to shoot out of it earlier that's out, so I'll take some mesh netting and set up in front of me with my back to a tree. Deer are funny about pop ups anyway, they do pay attention to them more than not, if you take one try to blend in as much as you can with the brush and at least 20 yards off the trail, be full camo headnet and all. good luck
