Two days after that I'm running an off-road half marathon on the Government Trail in Aspen... I'd wake up on race morning and STILL be hung over... and constipated. :D

I've been telling my wife all week we need to move out there for awhile. I think she'd almost do it, except for the fact that she'd have to take the Colorado bar exam. It's insane how many cool things are going on out there.

Welcome to my world. I have been tellin my wife that for over 15yrs ! I told her this year if she doesn't reconsider, I will be trading her in for (2) 25 yr olds and a place in the Rockies. She told me to not let the door hit me where the good Lord split me.
I may have an extended Elk hunt this year ? :D

C.L. - there is a restaurant in Aspen that you could easily shut down. People flock to this place. Apparently Oprah and all her goody goody rich buddies are all about it. It's a BBQ joint that claims to have the best ribs in Colorado. Thing is, it's just not that great. They grill their ribs and baste them in sweet sauce to keep them from drying out too much. Actually, there's multiple places like this but I only went to one. Maybe all the goody goodies in Aspen don't want to have any smoke in town from a big smoker, I don't know, but they don't know what the hell they're talking about. Even at other places, and even in Snowmass, they still make their "BBQ" on the grill, many on little backyard grills like we have at home. If you showed up with some real BBQ, you'd be the man in that town.

Corndogggy just how much do they charge for those GRILLED Ribs ? I think the average home price in Aspen is roughly 1.3 Million ? Let's see,,, if I can sell my Ribs for roughly $75 a slab, I'm in. AND I'd still be living 50 miles away. :D
I know what you are saying, but it's the "Western" style of BBQ. The guys where I hunt are always reminding me to bring coolers full of Ribs when I show up out there. Well I got a suprise for them this year. I bought them a Smoker and while I'm out there I'm gonna teach them how to use it. BBQ 101 in the San Yuan Mtns. :D
I did think strongly about puting a place in Durango. I even looked at 3 buildings while there. I need to get hooked up with somebody that is good in Micro Beer making. Then the rent wouldn't be so bad. :D
I just can't blast my wife out of Louisville. Maybe one day ? :(
