POSTING PHOTOs

Step1.
After you have loaded your photo on your computer you must upload it to host web site.
Several members use
Photobucket

Step 2
After you have loaded the picture in the host web site, close the site and try re-opening the picture from that site. (unnecessary step, but it assures you the picture is loaded properly).
If picture looks as you want it to. Place cursor on picture and RIGHT click mouse. Select LEFT click on PROPERTIES, copy the [URL] ADDRESS.

Step 3
Go to Kentuckyhunting.com
When creating your post, click on the http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/GSP/code.jpg button.

will be inserted. Place the cursor between the the ] [ brackets and PASTE your [URL] ADDRESS.

It should look like this.
your URL address here

This should do it.

NOTE: Photobucket now has a feature where you simply click on the text IMG Code below the picture after it is loaded. It automatically copies that text and then you can just paste it here without using the http://www.kentuckyhunting.net/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif button as stated in step 3.

Insert picture icon.... up at the top of the reply to thread box: http://www.kentuckyhunting.net/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif

If you guys are using the quick reply feature, you're not going to see those buttons and smilie faces.... and hunt101 is offline more than it's on....

It would have to be bigger on your computer before you upload it to photobucket. No way to upsize there, just downsize.

Click your right mouse button and a little box will pop up that will say "paste" in it. Just have your cursor in the reply box and it will paste it... or hit the Ctrl and the V keys on your keyboard and it will paste it as well.

I went as far as step 2, but when I click on properties, you say to copy the {url} address. Exactly how do you do that. Is there some command that I should click to copy? I am computor illiterate. You really have to break it down for me.

If you are using GSP's method of popping up the Properties window, where it says URL you will have to move your arrow over the h of http://, hold down your left mouse button and drag your arrow over all that text. It will highlite.

If you hit the righthand button on your mouse, a little window will pop up and you will see the word Copy. Pick on the word Copy with your left mouse button.

Now when you start a thread or reply here, in the window where you are typing your text, hit your righthand mouse button again. You'll get another little window to pop up and you will see the word Paste. Pick on the word Paste with your left mouse button and it will pop that text from photobucket in your reply window.

You would just paste that text you copied into the little window that pops up when you pick the http://www.kentuckyhunting.net/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif button.

It's a lot harder to explain in words than it actually is to do.

Using photobucket makes the job of posting pictures much easier than some of the other sites that I have seen. Several of the members on here have started using that host site because it is so easy.

Go to the photobucket site, and follow the instructions after you register. It is a free service, and very user friendly.
