After the gun season is over, is deer hunting still good? Is it better to hunt early in the season or wait till its over & try your luck? All my luck came early but i wanna know if its just as good after gun hunting..

deer hunting is still good after gun season, deer may change their routine a little but their still their. You should try to hunt when ever u can early or late.If hunting late be sure u pratice shooting with all your clothes on because it makes a difference on how u shoot your bow.

Shucks Yes; Anytime is good to be out though. Bucks will be looking to replenish food burned in the rut, Checking
for any un-bred does, etc. If Your able,....Get out there.

I scored a buck today that was killed with a bow yesterday, it grossed over 170. It came out in the snow yesterday morning and a guy shot it at 15 yards. The biggin's gotta move sometime.

More and more we are going to see a "trickle rut" such as they have in the south due to weather and extended seasons.

Think like a hermit. Go where the brush is so thick a ten yard shot is a long shot. Play the funnels and the wind.

If you can see 30 yards plain as day you are wrong.

if the weather gets so cold that its almost impossible to sit on stand very long in the mornins i love to hunt the miday this time of year until i started trying this i would have never believed how many deer move between the hours of 10 til 2 or so and at least i can stay on stand a lil longer during those hours too with out what i think is frostbite

I second this post, Extreme. It's right on the money, in my experience.
