where do you look for turkeyes ,ive been everywhere. saw them everyday in deer season but i cant find them now. how can i locate them now . first time hunting with bow.
Walk, look and listen. They are gathering up in large flocks now. Look for picked corn fields or whatever grain is in your area. Look for wheat fields. Find the food.

Can really be feast or famine right now. When you find them it'll probably be a large group, though I'm still occasionally seeing toms alone or in small groups.
I'll put in a second for finding the food. Hard to narrow down what that is since they eat about everything.

They will totally chance their pattern this time of year. Good way ti find them is look for their roost. Either go look midday for a large concentration of dropings of go early morning or evening and listen for them to fly down or up. They pattern fairly easy right now, just have to find em.

Any farmers in the area that have cattle that they are feeding corn? If you can hunt there, you'll see turkeys most of the day. Even if you can't hunt the property, watch it & see how the birds are going & coming & you might be able to get on them. A hunting blind is worth it's weight in gold this time of year. I will say, before you think about going & getting one, the Double Bull & the UnderBrush Blinds work really good, but I wouldn't spend money on anything else. This time of year I like the UnderBrush Blind better than anything. You might ask your friends, & find one to borrow for a week [:)], in which case any brand is worth a try. Doesn't hurt to ask.[;)] Good luck!
