View Full Version : anyone ever tried rain-x on scope lenses?

i was just wanderin if anyone has ever tried rain-x on scope lenses, i was just sittin around thinkin about a way to keep lenses from fogging and that came to mind and i thought maybe someone else had thought of it and tried it if so let me know if it works

just bein out there is enuff

i always use Johnsons baby shampoo works like magic
depending on use re-apply about once a month...
i suggested this on another www.. alot of good reports back was successful to alot of others...
so you might wanna try it...if you go with rain-x please update us...

i just applied the rain-x anti fog to mine, so far so good. but you might want to try just regular rain-x, the anti fog doesnt last long in rainy weather

That's a mistake, over time rain-x will ruin the glass coating and void the warranty.

Buy a lens pen from Leupold. they work great. I've seen similar items in some of the camera stores. It's a brush on one end, and a mop deal on the other. The cap has a refreshener for the mop and it applies a coating as it's cleaning the lens. Cost less then $15.
