Driving home today from Louisville, I found an 4 point side (8 pointer) that was hanging off a guard rail on I-71 near between exit 17 and 22!

I drove by it the first time and said to myself "was that a shed?"

So I came by again and sure enough, it was an antler, but part of the skull was attached! The buck probabaly got hit this past fall/winter. No remains anywhere near the site where I found the antler.

Good size too. 20 inch mains

Brow broken off.
G2 8 inches
G3 6 inches.

Ok mass.

I'll post a pic if I can.

I would guess, one of the contractors picking up trash along the interstate or bush hogging placed it there. It wouldn't take long to ruin a tractor tire.

Yep, you're probably right. From time to time, I see folks wandering around in the median. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody didn't find that shed and then put it on the guardrail so they could pick it up later. Probably never thought that somebody else would actually stop their car there and find it.

I mowed right of ways for a few years and never found the first one, hell never thought to look until now. We did find alot of other "interesting" things :D

I've seen several up and down through there since we moved out that way. Lot of deer in that little stretch.
