Didn't want to hijack SS' bear mount post. Maxcam said he'd like to see rug pics.
Here are a couple of pics of the two rugs I have. Lighting is poor, so pic quality is not great for the first rug, but the thing is a pain to take down and rehang.

Sorry for all the toys in the background. My trophies have to share space with some of the kids' stuff. :o
The above pics are of my nicer rug. This bear squared well over 6'. When you get a rug done, you will pay by the foot, measured nose to tail along the back. I think I paid about $175/ft for this one 8 years ago.
The second rug is a small bear. I paid $175/ft three years ago (different taxidermist). Had I used the first taxi, it would have cost about $225/ft, and I figured for a small bear, the cheaper work would be ok. Wish I hadn't. The bear looks ferocious with his mouth almost unnaturally wide open; overdone, in my opinion, for what is basically a cub. Also not nearly so much attention to detail inside mouth etc.

Truthfully, I think the closed mouth option is a good one for smaller bears like the second one (if you don't want a full mount), and wish I would have gone that route now. I do like open mouth on a larger bear, if it is done well, and I haven't noticed a substantial extra dust collection in mine.
