Looking for a good WMA to bow hunt this year can anyone tell me about it?

Maybe the hardest hunted WMA in the state. If you hunt in Sept. you may not be too bad but come Oct. and Nov....forget about it. It has just about been ruined. I talked to the ranger that lives there and he told me on his drive back to his office he counted 21 trucks from out of state and one 2 from Ky and that was just on the main roads he drove on.

The word got out several years back that it had huge bucks and now its a total mess. You will still find a big one now and again but nothing like it was. The deer numbers over all are down pretty bad there is what the warden told me. I hunt it maybe once or twice a year mainly in the hopes of killing a turkey. Good luck with it.

i second what he said, i live 5 miles from it. It used to be great, but pressure has ruined it, although, it does still hold some good deer. I totally quit hunting it also, except for turkeys with bow, turks everywhere
