I thought about hunting this WMA the second week of September, but not really sure if this is the place I need to be. I've heard about a few other places, but haven't been to any of them. I really enjoy bowhunting, but need a little help on where to start looking for that monster bow buck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!! My email address is (bowhunterdavis@yahoo.com) if you don't feel comfortable leaving open information on this forum. Thanks!!!

I've heard a few good things about Higginson-Henry WMA. Maybe this would be a better bet.

TT308,is right on it here, there are some brutes in this wma.River bottoms and hardwoods are abundant, this wma is in a somewhat remote area along the river.Lots of the surrounding privately owned farms do not allow hunting. Also no gun deer hunting is allowed ,no quota hunts,so its archery only...........looking for a big buck,,,, hunt the area along the river banks...good luck !!!!!!

Fusion, there are a few different tracts on the Kentucky River WMA, which one do think I should start with? Thanks for all the information. I really appreciate it. I am in the military and just recently got back from serving our country overseas. I'm from South MS. The hunting down South is not very good, but the fishing is pretty good. If you've never fished for Speckled Trout and Red Fish, you are really missing out, that's if you like to fish. I really think Kentucky is beautiful. Thanks again for all the information.

Ieehhh!

Yes dem trout and reds are fun!

Now hunt for fun and the brutes will come. Figuring out where to be is half the fun on public land in my book. Just go in with the attitude it's public land everyone has the same right to be there and he or she may not know you are there or may have set up their spot the week before.
