View Full Version : This dang twitch
I am a healthy, and fit young man. I thank God every day for the health that he has given me, but for some reason the last week befor bow season I start to twitch. I drive down the road and see an Oak tree, I twitch. I see a corn field, I twitch. I see a pond right next to the woods in the middle of a (insert vegitation here) field, I twitch. I see a deer in said field, I twitch. (and drool)
Do I have a problem? I think its more of an obsetion.;)
Does anyone else suffer (or enjoy) this?

Lick,
For treatment of this disorder I recommend that you go out next Saturday morning, climb a tree with archery equipment in hand and shoot a large whitetail buck. Then visit your local taxidermis. The twitch should subside for a brief period but it will require ongoing treatment annually.
I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once! :D

RR,
The sound of a rattlesnake in your path before day light, will snap you right out of the twitch.

Unfortunatly that twitch gets worse after you kill a big one on opening day. Then you have to go the rest of the season (rut included) without a buck tag! Trust me I had to suffer it a few years ago!!
Im here to tell ya that going down Akin rd. at 8:30 pm, 3 days before the bow opener does not help things.
I will be in the old Georgetown Saturday with bow in hand.:):)

It is in woodford county off old frankfort pike. There are a few large plots of land that are off limits to hunting and there are some bruisers on it. During the rut you can see just about anything on there.
If you get close to it during november just follow the stream of trucks with hunting stickers in there back window and you cant go wrong. It is mostly a one lane road that looks like I75 in the mornings and afternoons in November!

I'm by no means a doctor, but my recommendation would be to let the illness run it's full course and spend plenty of time up in a tree to help it along. You can expect the symptoms to hang around for about the next 5 months.

I have the twitch right up to the shot, then I experience weakness of the knees, increased heart beat, loss of breath and a sudden urge to jump and yell extremely loud. Is this normal or should I seek professional help?
