Just thought you all would like to know what I found today.....Fresh deer sign where these bad boys were dropping...Good luck Saturday..

I've found a bunch too but I bit into one and they're as bitter as a green persimmon:eek:

looks like they are pretty good size nuts. I hope they are as good here as they are where you found those. I haven't looked very hard to see if any has began to fall in my area. maybe that holds good for you at least through early season

i have sevral red oaks with acorns,,1 tree the squirrels have cut the hell out of it

I'ma goin' to have to get out there and look for some a corns myself. And find a good trial leading up to those trees.

Some of the trees are dropping em around my area. . . but I still think it will be a few more weeks. . . they do look good though.

I have several red oaks around my place the nuts are about the side of your little finger nail. Going to be poor pickings for the critters from what I see. Poor old squirrels are eating pine cones, my driveway was covered in cuttings a few days ago from a couple pines along side it.
