This fella took the time to personally make me a string for my recure that I had discussed here a few weeks ago. He took the time to make it, mail it to me and gave me some good advice in a letter. Asking nothing in return. Randy, I thank you. We need more good people like you out there..

Sincerely, Mike

Ps. I will kill one with that bow!!!!!!!!!!!

no problem dude. making a string is no big deal, just wish i could have got it to ya sooner so you could get sharp before season gets here. BTW, how did it fit? like i said, never made one without the bow to size, serve, and stretch it by, but if it doesn't work out let me know and i'll fix it.
good luck with that piece of history, i love them old bears!:)

My dad has an old pearson recurve that was left strung too long (probably by me when i was young!) and it warped some. Is there anyway to fix this? I would like to get it back in working shape and shoot it.

sometimes you can just twist it back in the opposite direction and it will straighten up, sometimes it takes a little heat, and sometimes its just hopeless. give it a try, what have you got to lose?

You can give it some encouragement with heat from a blow dryer, just be careful not to concentrate the heat in one area too long. Once you get it a bit warm then twist in the oppostite direction and hold til it cools. Be sure to do all this without it braced.
