18-36 months in prison isn't much of a deal to me.

Federal prosecutors had offered a deal recommending an 18- to 36-month prison sentence. Vick's attorneys were trying to reduce that to less than a year, two sources told CNN earlier on Monday.

Looks like less than a year, but no more than.

The "experts" are doing alot of speculating on the sentence, but the judge has made no ruling yet.

any place he goes he will be treated better than anyone so no biggy to him, i think he needs to be put in solitary with no priv. like any inmate that screws up. If our system doesnt start taking control over the "special" people we will never get to the end of celebs doing stupid stuff

What do you mean not much of a deal...Would you rather do the 25 years that he could have gotten if it had went to trial.... He got off better than he should have for what he did, especially for the betting schemes and bank rolling the whole program...... Once a thug, always a thug.........Just like his sorry butt brother, too bad Elvis Dumervil isn't going to get a chance to take a little revenge out on his a$$ on the NFL field..........

He seen that jury he was going to have to face and that was enough.

What? Goofy is a dog? Then what is Pluto? ;)

Willie's prediction..

The Falcons will drop him.

He will get a year and be out in 6 months with good behavior.

Then 8 or 9 teams will be trying to sign him....

CHA-CHING.... $$$$

I don't believe parole is available for Federal crimes. If you get 1 year for a federal crime, you serve 1 year.

1) I can't imagine that ANY jail is fun. Leavenworth might be a little less nasty than Allenwood, but I don't want to spend time in either.

2) The NFL will ban him.

I hope he saved some money. He's gonna need it.

Your right, the BOP done away with parole......Allenwood is a camp, Leavenworth is a medium now. It was a maximum for many, many years. I dont see him going to the "hothouse"(leavenworth)...Allenwood is a distict possibility.

At work we have our Vick jerseys on sale and dog beds on sale right next to his jerseys....we have been selling the heck out of the dog beds and people laugh at our sign! You can take the thug out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of the thug!! Let his butt sit in federal pen for a few years, he will be back in the hood when he gets out selling weed again!

Best sentence he could have got would be to force him into ultimate fighting for 2-3 years and make him bet on himself. After he gets his a$$ laid out a couple of times and broke he would most likely wish he was put to death.

I believe it is a hell of a deal , they could have charged him with racketeerring as well , and he could have gotten 40 years . Too bad he did not get life . He is another one of these over paid babies in the NFL who think they are above everyone and the Law . I hope he loses everything, comes out of prison and lives in the gutter . Just like Pac Man Jones , another over paid idiot . They don't realize the life they have , they just want too do what they want . I hope they ban them both , along with all the others screwing up like they do . Look at Vick he had a 100 million dollar plus contract plus endorsments . So all I can say is WHaaaaaaaa for these cry baby so called football players !!!!!!

Michunter, I couldn't agree more...Would love for him to have to do his time in the Big Pen...All those freaks in Prison would love to have his Baby Face in there with them.... Might even get a big old Butt whooping for doing something so stupid after getting all that money to play a game for life..... He would deserve it of course.....

Its beyond me how somebody could have it made like that and have that much money and screw it up..for what?!! Trying to win a couple hundred dollars on a dog fight? He made that much in 3 minutes of a game...even if he only plays 10 seconds!! The guy is only 2 years older than me and if given the chance to trade(before his stupidity got to him)I would never screw it up. I know people that had the talent just like him that got hurt and couldn't play. They would have seriously made it to the NFL if they weren't injured and you would have never seen them doing stupid crap!!!

"We've had a lot of people in this league do a lot of bad things, and they still got a chance," Wolf said. "Leonard Little (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/4475/;_ylt=ArBFv2QBBOML8.gWPaugz33sYNAF) killed someone (while drunk driving). Jamal Lewis (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5034/;_ylt=Aqlyt0mYBpzoeAph6bcjgaLsYNAF) went to prison (in connection to) selling drugs. Are you telling me that killing eight dogs is worse than killing a human being? … Yes, this is bad, but are you really telling me that he doesn't deserve a chance to play again when other people have committed crimes and come back?"
Then again, Wolf is an example of someone who might have the power to make it happen.

What an idiot.....Wolfe was associated with Green Bay.

Marbury, or some other worthless piece of crap tried to make a point that killing dogs is no worse than deer hunting. I realize that Im preaching to the choir here, but since I dont have time will someone get on the appropriate forum and explain to this dumas and everyone else the difference between how we interact with domesticated animals vs wild animals. There is a huge difference between animals that have been bred and conditioned for thousands of years to be dependent on man and wild creatures. Clearly this jerk's point was to try and say "Rednecks kill deer, how is that different from how us ghetto folks kill dogs?"
Most normal people feel a basic obligation to handle domesticated animals in a certain way, whether they be horses, cattle, dogs, cats etc. Wild animals, be they deer, ducks, mountain lions, bears, whatever are subject to a different standard...the standard of fair chase. Isnt that why canned hunts offend even us hunters? Isnt that why hunting cats is offensive?
