Sometimes I seem to forget the power of the internet. I sometimes only get on here for weeks at a time. Well here's the story:

I have a Motorola 2-way radio that I don't have the owners manual for. I went all last season with the "ROGER" beep or talk conformation tone beeping everytime I would talk and it drove me crazy. I couldn't remember how to get it off. I found the radio in my closet today before church and thought I'd look it up on the internet after church. Weeeellllll it took about 3 minutes to find a owners manual on the net and fix the problem.

What a dunce? Do you guys use the net for stuff like that very often? I usually use, e-mail, weather, and KY Hunting (of course)

Heck yes I use it for that.

You can find the answer to pretty much anything you would ever want to know (or not know for that matter) on the internet.

That's why I sometimes scratch my head over questions that guys ask on this forum. You could find the exact answer in less than 3 minutes by using Google, Yahoo or the like or wait 2 or 3 days for all of us yahoos to chime in with what we "think" is the answer. :D

the net is the greatest tool i have really.. there is nothing in this world you can't learn or work on if you have the internet. you just have to be cautious about where you get your info from;)

My wife did a project for a class about internet sites. The bad thing is alot of stuff on the net is not true. At the same time, I guess that alot of info that comes from here falls in the same category:p

You have to sift through what you find.

If it is a web site from an individual or a collective of individuals like this site, you have a 50-50 shot at it being right.

A lot of times there will be official documentation or you can get your info straight from the source, though.

I use the net to trade stocks and the futures markets.

About a lot of the stuff on the net not being true is from blogs. Any 10 year old and make them, it's as easy as posting on here. That's why anytime anyone uses a blog for a "source" I call it for what it is and a lot of people don't like it.

Anytime I use something from the net as a "source" I try to cross reference with two or more legitimate sources.

I run UTK's website's for them. Im a mod on Graybeards and I sell some stuff on the net. I find a lot of cheaper places to buy supplys on the net as well. The net is a great tool when used properly...Oh yea, its a tool I had to use every day for the govt in some form or another.
