Did anybody catch this program on discovery.. pretty entertaining. I really enjoyed it, even though it's just pretty common stuff. Man there were some huge bucks on there:eek: makes my trigger finger itch:D

I missed it...did they give any credit to hunters or state game agencies for bringing deer back?

the only thing i heard was that at the turn of the century the population on whitetail was 500,000 and now it is around 30 million. they did say the only real way to control it was by hunting.:) atleast nothing negative was said about the hunters

I didn't get to watch it. Was it the one narrated by Marty Stauffer(sp?)? Seems like he had a good deer documentary that was very educational. I also enjoyed his shows, they were back in the early 90s and late 80s.

to tell you the truth i'm not sure who narrated it.. but i think it was newer than the 90's.. not for sure though..

I saw the last 35 mins. of it yesterday afternoon. I thought it was pretty entertaining too. They talked about how the human vs. deer conflict was only going to get worse due to wooded lands being consumed by residential development. There was no hunter bashing thank goodness.
Overall, a decent show. Hope there's a re-run I can catch sometime so I can see the rest of it.
