You mean the aerial combat?

We've got two feeders out and there is a "boss bird" on both of them that dive bomb any other birds that get close.

One feeder is by my den window so I and the two house cats can watch them feed.

One year, I had fourteen little buggars. Video tape them, that way you can pause and really check them out. They have tons of personallity. I love to watch and listen. Great entertainment!

Strangest thing, I have actually found their tiny nest in a couple of the trees in my back yard. But they just haven't been around like they normally do. Maybe their waiting till fall to come by.....:)

sounds like you live at my house!!

I had hummingbirds very early on (forget now, but I posted on here; either March or April) then I went a lot of the summer without them, now I have them again. They are very entertaining.

I think they are fattening up for thier trip back to So.Am. next month. Last year we had about 20 but only 5-6 this year

I have noticed several around my house lately. The feeder has been up practically all summer with only a few being spotted before now.
