Anyone been on the cumberland below the damn or around Burkesville lately...how's the water level?

rode down to the river this evening.. the water is waay waay down but seemed that the temps were a little cooler. should help out some!! good luck

Thanks for the reply CarpenterGuy. Water was way down of course...temp at Bville was 67. We ran upriver to the third gravel bar temp was 62. Fishing was slow...saw very few fish but the water had more color to it than in normal years. We ended up catching 9. We did catch an18 inch brown and two 19 inch bows. All on nightcrawlers, no action at all on spinners or cranks.

well i'm glad you did some good.. there seem to be alot more browns taken since the water is so low.. personally i use the powebait eggs. they seem to work well for me..
it is a outboard motor mechanics dream right now. The three on and three of sluicing/generation is quite a bit lower than the last few weeks have been.
