I have a dozen new carbon arrows that need inserts glued in. What is the proper way to go about doing the job?

i shoot goldtips
and called and asked them the same question when i started using them
they suggested that i use JB Weld
what i do is i screw my feild tip into the insert and then apply as much JB as needed and i push the insert in while slightly turning the arrow...wether it helps any or not i feel that by twisting them its creating ridges making for a better grip...SO far so good cant recall that i have ever had one pull out
so you may try this i am sure other will have other great ideas as well

Epoxy works really well. That is what Easton supplies for gluing inserts in all of there Axis shafts. I would reccomend 24 hour epoxy as opposed to any of the faster varieties. JB Weld probably works great too, but I have never tried it. I have tried hot melt before on carbons with poor results. Unless you are doing alot of tuning where you are removing the inserts, cutting and putting them back in, I would not reccomend hot melt.
In addition to twisting the insert as you put it in, may I suggest cleaning the inside of the shaft as well as the insert with a little bit of rubbing alcohol before you glue up. It should give you a cleaner surface for the glue to bond to. Just use a Q-tip dipped in alcohol, give everything a good swab and wait 10 minutes before glueing. Honestly I don't know if that will make a huge difference, but it will not hurt and again, Easton reccomends it, so I do it.
Good Luck
