I have heard talk about the slight offset to use on a blazer vane. Can i get this with a straight clamp on a jojan or do i need to buy the helical? Thanks for any help.

You use the straight clamp to get the offset. You adjust the base to offset, and when you set the straight clamp on the arrow the vanes is then offset. You can set it right or left offset.
The bases are the same part number for straight or helical. The top clamp parts are different, one for straight/offset and then your right or left helical clamps.

Adjust the base of the fletcher. The area where the nock sits as well as where the arrow shaft sits should have boltson either end that you can loosen and slide one way or the other.

At the bottom of the fletcher where you turn it to turn the arrow on each side of it there are 2 screws back those screws off & move it to the left or right & retighten screws & that gives it on off set.

on the lower part of the base, by the nock reciever, there should be a screw. loosen that and it should adjust left or right. i would use a sharpie and mark center before you adjust for offset, and then mark the spot where you adjusted to for offset.

Theres really no right or wrong way to do it, you just need to play with it a bit. You can move just the back, just the front, or move the back oneway a bit and the front the other way a bit. Play with it until you get the hang of it. If you want the slight offset and want good fletching contact still you probably will want to move both the back and front a bit in opposite directions. I'd adjust it a bit and put an arrow in the jig and then sit the clamp on the arrow with a vane in it and look at it to see how the vane contacts the shaft. After awhile you will see that when you adjust the jig sometimes you get better or worse contact. Then take an old arrow and practice a couple times. You may then decide you want a little more or less offset. You can glue on one vane and check it out, if your not happy with it adjust the jig a little and scrape off that vane and start over until you get it adjusted to your liking.
