I make my throw lines with a dropper loop about 18" above the hook. The dropper loop can be used to add/remove or change sinkers as needed without cutting the line. I use a large loop in the end so I can just throw the end over a limb and run the line thru the loop. This way I dont have tie off the line and i dont have to cut it to take it off. I use different hooks depending on the situation. Then I take a kids pool "fun-noodle" and cut into about 2" pieces. About 30 of them for a buck..they make a great item to wrap the throw line around. You can even store the sinker in the middle of the noodle. This way your lines dont get tangled and are easily transported...
