My cousin and I fly fished Gunpowder creek yesterday. We caught dozens of sunfish, green sunfish and long ears. And we also caught many creek chubs as well. We fly fished using those Berkley honey worms as bait. If you haven't tried them yet I suggest you do. Only saw 3 bass and they spooked before we got close. You could see the long ears on the beds. Man those things were pretty. Bright red fins, reddish orange belly, and blue-green sides. The water was quite cool and refreshing wading through it. Didn't see any snakes, but there were loads of turtles.

I think that I will contact the Kentucky Department of Wildlife to see if they plan on stocking any more bass in there. There is a shortage of them and the food supply is huge. Smallies would love it in there with all of the crawfish, but I never saw any or heard of any in there.

No pics this time, but next I go I will bring the camera. Hopefully the wife will "let" me go this weekend. I may have to bribe her.;)
