There are several great bows out there this year among those on the upper end as far price and performance are The Bowtech Guardian, Mathews Drenaline, Ross Cardiac, The Truth by Bear archery. These bows range in price form about $1000.00 - $ 500.00 respectively. But you really need to shoot several to get a feel of which bow fits you. The best Bow is the one that fits, both you and your budget. Go to your local archery pro shop and take a test dive, if you will , to see which bow has the fit and feel your looking for.

Bought a new drenaline this year and love it. The dealer i bought from also carried Ross. If I were to buy anything other than a Mathews it would have to be a Ross....they're pretty sweet.

I would recommend a Recurve or longbow !

I love my matthews. I like my buddys hoyt also. Depending on the model either one of these will cost you at least $800 to buy and accesserize.
For a mid range bow i like the looks of the bear line of bows.
Definatly make sure the bow fits you before you buy.
