View Full Version : Thunderball
While watching MOR this weekend a commercial for the Thunderball knocking system from NAP came across the screen. While I am skeptical about this system, I am sure the time and research has been put forth to make it a good product. What is the general consensus from everyone else?

I played around with a demo jig setup on the counter of a sporting goods store. It is a concave magnet that fits in the back of the arrow. A steel ball (about 1/4" or larger) is clamped on the string right under where the nock point would be. When you load an arrow you get the back of the arrow anywhere near the ball and it jumps right to the ball and sticks like a uh.. magnet! The magnet is very strong, too strong IMHO. You have to grab the arrow and give it quite a tug to break it free from the ball. This is all I know about the thing but it would seem to add quite a bit of weight to the back of the arrow and the string.
