Speed Knocks

Do these things work, or are they just hype. i got my bow serviced yesterday and they had come on it when i purchased it, so the shop put them back on this cost me an extra 10 bucks. any info would be appreciated i dont even know what their for:confused:

if you are talking about the brass nock sets that folks use on the lower portion on the string on a one cam, and upper and lower on a two cam, yes, they will increase speed, but.......you need to tune those....meaning, shoot the bow through a chronograph, adjust them, shoot, adjust and tune them for optimum speed. some bows it only makes 2 fps, others as much as 7 fps. not a huge gain, but a gain none the less. if you had a factory string, and the shop added new ones to a replacement string, make sure they put them in the correct position.

I appreciate that the shop owner told me for my bow it would add 7 fps but he never said anything about tunning.. thanks once again for the info:D
