Too bad it fell through, it would have been nice to meet some of the members and catch some fish.

It was a great idea, but its not just something that can be thrown together. We should start planning one for late fall or go ahead or start planning for next spring - take a vote on what location to have it and everyone can start making plans to attend. It would be great to meet some people from the board.

I agree with ya!

While I love KY Lake and Barkley as much as the next guy it is going to be tough to get much participation from "everyone" when you have it on one end of the state. It takes participation to have a successful tournament. I am willing to travel but it should be centrally located.

I think Nolin is a pretty central spot.

Thanks for the heads up :) with that said, The official Kentuckyhunting.net bass fishing tournament will take place June 15th, 2011 at Barren River Lake. Surely this will give us plenty of time to plan

This would be fun for sure. We do this over on fishin.com as a big fish tourney. Not alot of $, just mainly bragging rights from year to year. After the Tourney we have a cook out. Kinda neat to put faces with the names. I agree that a central lake would be best. Would vote for Barren then Rough then Nolin for what its worth. Barren usually produces better when the water temps get up than Nolin or Rough. A date just needs to be set and lets go with it!

If you do not fish KY/barkley alot, it probably would not be the best bet for a fall Tournament, it is real easy to tear your stuff up quick if you do not know where you are going!:o

had a nov.16 tournament down ther one time and saw a guy hit a bar so hard, he flipped the boat all the way over, boat landed on its bottom, but he got thrown out. just glad he had the kill switch on. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR KILLSWITCH...It will save your life.

yea ky lake can be bad when the water is down, just got to be careful and pay attention to the buoys. Fishing is also alot tougher at times in the fall got to catch them just right. If there is going to be a tournament down there i suggest last of may, plenty of shallow fish, and plenty of big females moving to the ledges.
