....child on a bus to Camp Earl Wallace this morning? I just got back from the zoo dropping my son off there for camp. While I was there I started looking around at some of the other dads and wondered if any of them were people from here.

I was there last year, man the 5 days fly by and the next thing you know your back at the Zoo picking up the kids. Make sure you send them a letter or two to read. sent one out so that the boys got one every other day to read. They got excited to get mail and see that they were being missed. I hope you got the kiddo's signed up to take all the hunter ed. fishing ed, boater ed and swimming ed classes. Really knocks them all in the bud at one time and they are good for life, since KY requires all these ed classes these days.
Anyway the stories will be endless when they get home and the bug bites will be bad as well unless they really use the stuff like you asked them to use.
But now mine are two old to go and they really wanted to go this year again.:)

Mills,
we put a letter in the mail to him on Saturday. My wife, myself, my daughter and now my son have all been to Camp Wallace. My daughter went two years ago and is jealous that my son gets to go without her. My son will be getting a refresher course in Hunters safety, becuase he got his a couple of years ago. There is so much for him to do, and it is everything that he likes.
His only regret was that he will be missing a whole week of football practice and they are doing a full pads scrimmage this week against another team. Oh well, he will (hopefully) always hunt and fish, but he won't play a lot of football over the years but he will get his fill once he gets back LOL!

That brings back alot of memories... I guess I went to Camp Earl about 35 yrs. ago. Buck Shimfessel was involved with us at our school and he took me under his wing at camp... RIP Buck..........

Never got to go to such a camp. :( None in Henderson area. My only camp reference point is the Peanuts comic strip.
