Need advice.

Hello, I am trying to buy a piece of property and will want some of it logged. How much does timber go for and what can I expect? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know any loggers? If you do I would ask one of them to walk the property over and tell you what it is worth. They do it for a living so they have to be pretty close. There are several around this area if you don't personally know any of them I would just give them a call. The only problem might be if you show it to them before you buy it they might buy it and cut before you can.

don't know about somerset,,,but here in western ky,,i have had a few friends sell timber and it brought more per acre then they paid for the land,,,
