Well, we just got back from vacation in Panama City Beach tonight, and besides the flat tire today in Alabama, we had a blast. Here are a few pics of how good the fishing was this week:

We caught all the sharks, stingray, redfish, and various others right off the beach, but the pic with all the fish layed out on the ground we caught from a party boat.

Dang dude, you done went and slayed them for sure...The one time I was able to deep sea fish. I caught ( if you'll look closely and pick out the smallest one ) a Red Fish about 10 inches long. Man was I excited to have caught a fish out of the Ocean. Just as I was about to unhook the fish, The Capitan of the Boat came by and said. Uh, that's bait...in about two seconds or less, he pulled out hid fillet knife and sliced my fish in half and threw my line back overboard. I was speechless to say.
But XI, you guys sure socked it to them, great pic's of the fish, ray and shark....... Standing on the beach is about the only way I can fish for those Ocean fishy's.........My stomach just can't take those rolling waves and going up and down all the time.:)

Looks like you had a good time. Thanks for sharing the pics. Those party boats can be alot of fun. I was on a party boat in Maine when I was a kid, caught mackerel and cod with a string and spoon. And was on one a couple years ago in Florida.

I forgot to tell you where we stayed:o It is a condo called "Regency Towers". It is nice, and the price isn't too bad either. They have 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, and plenty of beach to fish from:D It is also in a part of PCB that is away from the "Party strip" so it is a little quieter there as well. It is about 1 mile from St. Andrews state park. I heard that a lot of king and spanish mackerel, and dolphin were caught from the jetty at the state park, but I didn't get to fish there.

Those sharks must be biting all up and down the panhandle and west coast. That is all we caught from the beach at Sanibel Island, plus a few sail cats and about a 20 pound stingray.
Did you try to eat the shark or stingray?

Xi - Great pictures. Sounds like a heckuva good trip.
Did you guys fillet all those fish up and bring 'em home? How many different species did you catch?

We filleted both the shark and stingray, they are excellent eating. The shark meat is very white and flaky, and the stingray tastes like scallops.

We filleted 56 fish the day of our party boat trip, they included:
amberjack, trigger fish, bee-liner, red snapper, and ling snapper. We didn't catch any grouper in our group, but another guy from Louisville caught a black grouper that went about 40lbs. We carted home about 100lbs of fillets from the party boat and the small sharks we caught off the beach.
