Man first set foot on the moon 38 years ago today.

I still remember where I was and what I did, I was guled in front of the TV. My family took a vaction and we saw Apollo 11 on the lanuch pad 7 days before the flight. I still have to pictures we took.

The news coverage of this flight was one of my earliest (if not the earliest) memories. I can still vividly remember sitting on the couch in our den watching the footage.

I also remember sitting there watching some coverage of the Vietnam War.
Funny how some of those things just stick in your mind. . . .

I remember watching the news each night with my dad and grandfather, looking for my two uncles faces to appear in some of the footage that was being shown. Never did see them on the screen and the good news was they both made it home safe and sound.....

I was 10 year old and camping with my family on Rough River at Laurel Branch when we heard the news.

I too was 10 years old. I was at my granny's house that night. Remember watching it on an old metal cased Zenith TV.

You all actually believe that happened? I thought the Rand Corporation and McDonnell Douglas faked it with technical help from Walt Disney...

We were watching it on tv at my wife's mom and dad's house. I'd been married for 13 months and my National Guard unit was on select reserve status. That meant we were ready to go active duty anytime. Lucky for me it didn't happen, I was in recon and would have been in deep ----.
